What to Expect

What to Expect at Christ Church

Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go?

We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to contact us.

When are services?

Our services are on Sundays at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Be sure to make yourself feel at home and enjoy refreshments in our fellowship hall between services.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you're wearing. In the summertime, it's not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their "Sunday best," and that's fine too! We think you'll fit in no matter how you dress.

How do I get to Christ Church?

From I-94: Take exit 333, turn east onto Washington Avenue, stay in right lane and continue on Washington Avenue for about 6 miles. Turn right onto our drive. Parking is available on the north and south sides. If you miss the driveway, turn right onto Perry Avenue, take the 1st right on to 13th Street and you will come up to the church.

Where should I park?

Handicap parking is available in both our South and North parking lots. If you use our North parking lot, please be sure to visit the South Entryway for our Welcome Center and our Faith @ Home Center.

Where do my children go?

Nursey care provided by our certified child care attendants is the perfect place for your children ages birth to 5 years old during any of our worship times. Your children will be checked in and you will receive a pager to take with you so we can notify parents if help is needed with their child.

Children ages Preschool -5th Grade can attend our Sunday School classes offered at the 10:30a.m. service. Children will be dismissed from worship to attend classrooms located in both North and South Hallway . Middle & High School students can remain in the worship service. Break Out Groups are offered for those students on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month from Noon - 2 pm. Lunch is included.

Worship clipboards are available for children who remain in the service and are Preschool - 3rd grade. They are located under the TV in the South Entryway.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?

If you are visiting with us, we don't expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider Chirst Church your church home, we invite you to give to God through Christ Church. You can give by check or cash during the service, or you can give online also setting up an Auto matic Electonic Fund Transfer option is available.

Is there any special assistance?

Yes! For those who are hearing impaired, we have a loop system that allows you to turn on the "T coil" switch in your hearing aid so you can control the volume.

For those who are visually impaired, we have a projection screen in the Sanctuary to help you see what's happening.
